Twenty five members enjoyed the special Lunch Group session when we celebrated Judy George's 80th Birthday this week. We expressed our appreciation and affection for Judy - she is a very special person. She has organised the lunch group since February 2011 but is now passing it on to Les Kirmsse (seen behind Judy in one photo). Angela de Hennin brought delicious cream and chocolate topped cupcakes. Thank you, Angela on behalf of everyone.
We are very grateful to Judy for everything she has done for U3A in Logan. Many local members look forward to the monthly sessions at Tower Hotel Bistro, its a great chance to make friends and its all thanks to Judy.
DOES ANYONE WANT TO VOLUNTEER

The U3A Video Club went on a photo and film shoot to the Brisbane Tramway Museum. They had organised a private visitation with the Museum. One of the volunteers showed them around, provided them with morning tea before taking them for rides in the old Brisbane trams.

January is where we display U3A Logan District at the Logan North Library.
Jean was in charge this year and created an excellent display in the foyer cabinet. This will stay until the end of January.
Monika organised a stall at Browns Plains Plaza with the help of Les and Trevor. They talked to interested shoppers and handed out class schedules.
